Macmillan Cancer Support Total

We teamed up with the Co-Operative last month and raised £148.20 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We hosted the staff from the Co-Op Andover distribution centre in Andover Business Park and its store on Salisbury Road as part of Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
We all sampled a selection of cakes, provided by Rich Products, as well as a range of tasty homemade favourites baked by our new Activities Co-Ordinator Stacie Judge, which were all available for a small donation. There were also other fundraising activities including a raffle.
The coffee morning is Macmillan's biggest annual fundraising event for people facing cancer. It asks people all over the UK to host their own coffee mornings and donations on the day are made to the charity which last year raised £27 million.
The money will go towards paying for nurses for cancer patients, respite time for families, specialist support groups, or even a microwave to make sure someone with cancer can prepare food easily and quickly.
Our Care Home Manager, Kay Jerrams said: "Harrier Grange was delighted to be involved in Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning. It is a terrific way of raising money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get the local business community together. It was great to meet so many new faces from the Co-Op who are just up the road from us and the residents really enjoyed their visit."
"Fundraising provides everybody with such a good energy and it was a lovely morning. The money we have collectively raised with the Co-Op will also help ensure that anyone with cancer does not have to face it alone."
Kat Uren, Engagement Support Assistant at the Co-Op, said: "The Co-Operative is committed to supporting local communities throughout the UK so we were delighted to support the Test Valley area and help raise money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support with Harrier Grange care home. The team had a great day and it was fantastic to raise the money we did on the day."
