We are delighted to introduce our new Activities Co-Ordinator at Harrier Grange, Stacie Judge, to oversee and manage our lively and varied activities programme bringing fun, action and social interaction with our residents.
Stacie is no stranger to the caring profession, having worked in a wide variety of caring roles and voluntary positions throughout her career including domiciliary care for elderly people, working in care homes, and in her own time helping arranging activities at a club for dementia sufferers.
Ready for the new challenge, our Activities Co-Ordinator role ticked all the boxes for Stacie: "I have always had a calling to work with the elderly or anyone who needs support, even if it's just a bit of company they need," she said. "I love putting a smile on someone's face or helping to create fun memories. This is my dream job!"
Our home has a varied and busy activities programme with a wide range of clubs, classes, and events to suit every different taste.
Stacie said: "In my previous jobs the aspect I found most rewarding was planning and organising activities and trips and seeing my clients enjoying themselves, therefore I am extremely excited about this new role."
"Having helped lots of elderly people and people with dementia over the years I have experienced which activities work well and which can really make a difference to the residents' lives."
"I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone and setting up fun and interesting activities for everyone to enjoy and benefit from."
When not at work, Stacie continues her caring role as a mum to her two daughters - Mia, 13, and Summer, 10 - and she loves the simple pleasures of spending time with her girls at the coast or getting close to nature taking mini-breaks in their caravan.
Our Home Manager, Kay Jerrams said: "We are thrilled to have found such a wonderful 'people person' in Stacie. We could see instantly that she's a naturally compassionate and empathetic person, and we are certain she will be an excellent addition to our caring team of staff."
"With her track record of working with elderly and disabled people, as well as her experience of people with dementia we are confident that her generous, and warm nature will serve her well as our new Activities Co-Ordinator."
