Dementia Care

At Harrier Grange Care Home, we are pleased to offer Dementia Care, which provides a safe, caring, and inviting environment for individuals suffering from memory loss. For residents with dementia and those closest to them, our home is intended to provide a safe, loving, and welcoming environment.

Our staff is highly trained and can recognise the signs and symptoms of dementia, and we take pride in giving the best degree of care as well as respect to every resident. Our team focuses on the resident’s specific requirements through daily planned activities, mental stimulation, and social engagement.

What is Dementia Care?

At Harrier Grange Care Home, we recognise that no two people are alike; some may just require little assistance, while others require 24-hour care. Our person-centered approach to care is intended to foster a feeling of individuality in each of our residents and to encourage them to continue to use their strengths and skill sets. Dementia care often focuses solely on the condition and associated loss of function, rather than the person. Our experience has taught us that people with dementia respond far better when their treatment encourages independence whilst allowing them to live each day with dignity and respect.

Our Approach to Dementia Care

Our team of specialists can provide unrivalled care to our dementia residents and those with memory loss due to their considerable knowledge and experiences. When it comes to assisting those living with dementia, there is no one-size-fits-all approach, which is why our Dementia Care Plans at Harrier Grange are tailored to each resident’s specific needs, as well as the wishes of their friends and family. At Harrier Grange Care Home, we provide a variety of services to help our residents in living independently in a safe environment.

Dementia Care at Harrier Grange Care Home

We recognise the weight of responsibility that comes with choosing a residential care facility for everyone concerned. Our specialised Dementia Care team at Harrier Grange Care Home receives ongoing training in dementia research and techniques, so you can be assured that your loved one is receiving the best possible care.

Residents in Dementia Care must be exposed to stimulating activities, have support when eating and personal care assistance. We also recognise that people with dementia may have a different perspective on the world than we do. As a result, from our bedrooms to shared areas and every space in between, we pay close attention to the features and design of the care home.

Is Dementia Care Suitable For You?

Harrier Grange Care Home develops relationships with all dementia care residents in order to develop a complete understanding of their lives. As a result, our committed team can continue to assure the safety, comfort, and well-being of every individual who lives with us. Dementia presents unique and ever-changing challenges not just to those who suffer from it, but also to their loved ones and caregivers. Dealing with those situations may be demanding and emotionally draining. We assist every resident, as well as their families, in determining the best strategy for current and future medical care.

How We Provide Exceptional Care

Our care services serve to relieve the stress of daily tasks that come with growing older. Often, simply resolving these struggles allows residents to flourish, and provides them with the opportunity to make new friends and pursue new hobbies. Our drive for maintaining a quality of life, when combined with specialist medical care, ensures that loved ones can be confident that every resident at Harrier Grange receives the best levels of care at all times.
