How We Provide the Best Care for Our Residents

At Harrier Grange Care Home, we place a high importance on independence, and you can be assured that this will always remain by providing as much or as little assistance from our staff as our residents desire.

We love welcoming residents to our home at Harrier Grange. Each resident is valued for the individual that they are and is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Living in a care facility like ours doesn’t mean having to relinquish any independence or dignity, and at Harrier Grange we go above and beyond to ensure residents can live their lives the way they want to.

Our COVID-19 Approach

In line with recent Government recommendations effective from April 2022, care homes in England no longer have restrictions as to the numbers of visits per resident though we ask that you make arrangements in advance of your visit to ensure safe visiting practices can be maintained. LFT testing is no longer mandatory, though to protect the safety and wellbeing of our residents and teams, we would appreciate your support in continuing to do so. Appropriate guidance for using PPE must be followed whilst visiting.

At any time, the COVID-19 regulations and guidance from the Government, National and Local Healthcare Agencies may change. For further information, please click here or contact the Home Manager directly.

Residential Care

Residential Care is best for those who need a little extra help with personal tasks carried out on a day-to-day basis. Harrier Grange residents can enjoy all meals and various social elements of life in a warm and supportive setting, as well as receive assistance as needed. This option is particularly advantageous for those who need personal care now but may require nursing care in the near future: at Harrier Grange, we can alter our plans to meet your evolving needs.

Dementia Care

Our staff at Harrier Grange Care Home have all had extensive training and are fully competent to deal with all aspects of dementia. Our staff considers each of our residents as a person, tailoring their care to meet their individual requirements and expectations. In order to create an accurate impression of their lives, we get to know our residents with the support of family and loved ones; this ensures the safeguarding of their happiness and well-being. We also provide a variety of activities and alternative therapies to help our residents with memory loss: our Activity Coordinators are trained to work with people at all stages of dementia, and their families can visit them at any time.

Nursing Care

Nursing care is offered to any of our residents who require this 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Harrier Grange Care Home has on board a brilliant team of trained nurses and care workers. Each resident is assigned a nurse who will quickly become a familiar face for them and will happily answer any queries or concerns you or your family may have during your stay. If your nurse is unavailable, another member of staff known as a key worker will look after you, ensuring that you are always greeted with a friendly face and who will assist with any needs.

Respite Care

We recognise that everyone needs a break now and then, and you are entitled to a well reserved break here at Harrier Grange Care Home. Whether you’re caring for a loved one or simply need a break from everyday chores, you’ll be able to relax and unwind knowing that you’re in a secure, welcoming atmosphere. Individuals who need to recover from an illness or a hospital stay will benefit from respite care. Many future residents plan a temporary stay with us to see if the home is the right fit for them as their new home. Our respite care can be customised to match your lifestyle and care plan, with special attention paid to each need and request.

Making More of Every Day

All of our residents are encouraged to take advantage of a variety of amenities, as well as our diversified activity programme we have available to them and, of course, truly enjoy. We seek to give all of our residents consistent, high-quality care and support, and we always go above and beyond to ensure that they are safe, involved, and connected to friends and loved ones. We strive to ensure that every resident is able to live a meaningful life.
