How We Support Residents at Our Nursing Home in Hampshire

We want our residents to consider our care home in Hampshire as their home away from home, so we take the time to get to know them beyond their needs and become like an extended family member to them. Before residents move in, we take the time to meet with them and their loved ones to create a personalised care plan that outlines everything we need to provide exceptional nursing care. These are adapted as care needs develop and it allows us to not only meet but exceed the needs of our residents.

We adopt an open-door policy at Harrier Grange Care Home, so loved ones are welcome to visit at any time or come to our expert team with any questions or worries they may have.

Things To Do in Hampshire

Hampshire is a beautiful ceremonial county in South East England. It is well known for its historical character and scenic surroundings and offers a variety of places for our residents to explore.

Hampshire boasts several parks and gardens that offer peaceful places for relaxation and gentle walks. Anton Lakes has a variety of walking trails where residents can enjoy the fresh air whilst seeing a variety of wildlife, and they even have a small waterfall! For our green-fingered residents, Dobbie’s Garden Center in Andover includes a variety of beautiful, colourful plants that we can use in our private gardens during the summer months. They even have a café where residents can have a hot drink and a treat after shopping.

Hampshire has a strong sense of community, which is enriched by events held by local businesses. The Old Sarum and Longhedge Community Centre regularly holds events and other activities designed to promote social interaction and mental stimulation for residents. This allows them to meet new people and not only continue the things they love but also try out a new hobby.
