Introducing our Activities Co-Ordinator at Harrier Grange

We are delighted to introduce you to our Activities Co-Ordinatior here at Harrier Grange, Chris Martin.

Prior to being a team member at Harrier Grange, Chris worked in a bank as a member of the help desk team for four and a half years. Unfortunately, there was no real chance to make meaningful relationships and impact on an individuals life in this job – as client relationships were a short-lived phone call.

Chris is a people-person and felt his skills could be utilised elsewhere, somewhere he could build a proper relationship with those he works with.

The position of Activities Co-Ordinator caught Chris’ eye and he thought it was too good to be true. The position enables Chris to make people feel good, smile, create relationships and ultimately undertake activities that are meaningful to the residents which they enjoy.

Chris says: “It makes me happy to know that I am giving something back to people and I can honestly say I feel extremely privileged to work here – it’s also a lot of fun for me! I love to see all the residents enjoying the activities I have planned, and the energy we come back with after trips is fantastic!”

Chris has already organised some great trips – The Hawk Conservancy and Finkley Down Farm – and we can’t wait to see what else he organises!
