Staying active is an important part of life at Harrier Grange, with residents encouraged to take part in activities at a pace and level that feels right for them. Our varied activities programme includes regular exercise sessions, giving residents accessible ways to keep moving while enjoying time together.

Our armchair exercise sessions are led in rotation by Charlie from G-Fitness, through Oomph exercise sessions and by our activities team. Gentle movements, music and encouragement help residents work on mobility, strength and coordination, while taking part alongside friends makes exercise a social experience.
Accessibility is an important part of these sessions. Residents can exercise from the comfort of their chair and adapt movements to suit their individual abilities, helping everyone benefit from staying active.
We also like to introduce different activities that encourage movement in a fun and relaxed way. Ten-pin bowling gives residents another opportunity to practise coordination while adding some friendly competition.

At Harrier Grange, activities are designed to support physical, mental and social wellbeing, with options ranging from exercise and gardening to quizzes, arts and crafts and outings. For residents with more complex needs, one-to-one activities can also be tailored around their individual interests.
Whether joining a gentle exercise session or taking part in a game of ten-pin bowling, the focus is on making activity accessible, enjoyable and part of everyday life at Harrier Grange. Find out more by contacting our team and booking a tour today.
