Garden to Table

At Harrier Grange Care Home our experienced in house chef is dedicated to ensuring that all of our residents receive the very best nutritious, home-cooked meals that cater for all types of dietary requirements. There is no better way for us to deliver our residents fresh and tasty meals than to grow our own vegetables in our very own vegetable garden.

Our fantastic vegetable garden is regularly maintained and tended to by our residents and our personal gardener. This is the perfect opportunity for our residents to venture out into our private gardens and find an ideal spot with their loved ones or fellow residents and receive a breath of fresh air. This year we have been lucky enough to plant our very own carrots, broccoli, french beans, runner beans, and many more nutritional vegetables.

Whether our residents have a passion for gardening or are looking to develop a new skill, our experienced team members actively encourage them to take advantage of the beautiful gardens that Harrier Grange Care Home has to offer, making sure that there are plenty of activities for our residents to get involved in.

Outdoor activities are a great way for our residents to socialise with one another and to maintain their independence and responsibility. We have seen the first-hand benefits that gardening and the outdoors has on our residents and how it can improve their everyday lifestyle, which is why when the weather allows us, we make sure to arrange activities outside for all of our residents to get involved.

If you would like to find out more information regarding the facilities and care options we have to offer at Harrier Grange then please do not hesitate to get in touch, and a friendly member of our team will be happy to help.
