Residents crafting Valentines decorations

Valentine’s Celebrations, 104th Birthday and Employee of the Month

This Valentine's Day, our residents have been busy with a variety of celebrations and activities. Loved ones of residents were invited to join us, giving them the opportunity to continue to make new memories and bond with those closest to them.

Our team put on numerous activities for residents including utilising our arts & crafts sessions to make love heart decorations and various artworks. This was a great opportunity for residents to show off their creative side, bond with one another, and give us some relationship advice. We were thrilled to hear about our residents' personal stories and listen to the advice they gave to us regarding love.

We also hosted a romantic Italian-style lunch where our kitchen team made some delicious dishes for our residents to enjoy with their loved ones. This was a brilliant finishing touch on top of our activities and crafts and was a hit with our residents. Putting a smile on their faces is essential to our team, so we always try to host events that make them feel valued and cared for.

We have also had one of our residents celebrate an important birthday this month. To celebrate her 104th birthday, we spent the day doing her favourite activities and finished it off with a delicious cake, baked by our wonderful kitchen team. It was a brilliant day and we can't wait to celebrate more resident birthdays throughout the year.

We have also awarded our employee of the month for January. We are thrilled to award this to Chini Gurung, one of our amazing carers. She was voted by her peers for her infectious smile and for always having a spring in her step!

We are looking forward to the rest of the year at Harrier Grange Care Home and the exciting things we are going to get up to. If you have any further questions about our home or the care services we offer, please don't hesitate to get in contact with our team.
